Campus Activewear has concluded FY26 with a robust financial trajectory, signaling a successful shift toward premiumization and lifestyle-driven footwear. For the quarter ending March 31, 2026, the company reported a significant 25.8 per cent Y-o-Y increase in profit after tax (PAT) to US$5.2 million, boosted by a 12.3 per cent rise in operational revenue. This performance reflects a strategic recalibration where high-margin products are increasingly driving top-line growth.
Strategic shift in product mix
The brand's expansion into the premium segment has been a crucial factor in its recent fiscal success. During FY ’26, the company’s sneaker portfolio recorded an impressive 109 per cent Y-o-Y growth, accounting for 12.7 per cent of total volumes. Nikhil Agarwal, CEO, notes, the strategy of democratizing high-quality, design-led footwear at accessible price points has resonated strongly with consumers. By successfully pushing premium stock-keeping units (SKUs) and refreshing its collections, Campus witnessed a 6.9 per cent increase in its average selling price (ASP) throughout the fiscal year. This shift has not only insulated the brand against raw material cost pressures but also expanded EBITDA margins to 17.5 per cent annually.
Operational resilience and future outlook
Despite a competitive retail landscape, Campus has maintained operational efficiency through a disciplined hybrid distribution model. While the company faces the inherent challenges of managing inventory across both extensive multi-brand outlet (MBO) networks and 300 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs), its digital acceleration and data-backed demand forecasting have improved inventory turns. With a solid balance sheet and return on equity at 18.1 per cent, the company is now positioning itself to capture further market share in the athleisure space, aiming to scale its presence in Tier-II and Tier-III markets where demand for aspirational, value-conscious fashion continues to grow.
Founded in 2006, New Delhi-based Campus Activewear is a dominant player in India’s sports and athleisure footwear market. The brand focuses on high-performance sneakers and lifestyle footwear for men, women, and children. It operates through a vast distribution network and online channels. Currently, the company is prioritizing aggressive premiumization and geographical expansion to sustain long-term growth and enhance profitability.
