Landmark Group has announced significant leadership changes within its India operations, effective October 1, 2025. These changes highlight the company's commitment to internal talent development and its strategy for accelerated growth in the Indian retail market.
Taking on an expanded mandate Shital Mehta, Managing Director, Lifestyle International (LIPL) has now been given a broader portfolio of businesses alongside Group Functions at LIPL.
Over the past eight years, Mehta has been instrumental in steering the growth of the Max and Easybuy brands. Under his leadership, both businesses underwent major transformation and are now well-positioned for their next phase of expansion.
Following Mehta’s transition, Sumit Chandna has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Max, effective October 1, 2025.
In his previous three years as Deputy CEO of Max, Chandna played a pivotal role in driving the brand's transformation, strengthening operational excellence, and solidifying its position as one of India's leading value fashion brands.
Renuka Jagtiani, Chairperson, LIPL, says, these appointments serve as a testament to the group’s vision of nurturing talent.
Founded in 1973 in Bahrain, the Landmark Group has grown into one of the largest and most successful omnichannel retail, hospitality, and leisure organizations across the Middle East, North Africa, India, and Southeast Asia.
The Group operates over 2,200 stores and outlets, covering 30 million square feet of retail space, and is one of the GCC's largest omnichannel retailers and India's top home and fashion retailer.
