Snapdeal reports 60% growth in overall sales volume during Bharat Swagotsav sale

18 October 2025, Mumbai

Snapdeal reported a strong performance during its recent Bharat Swagotsav sale, which ran from September 19 to October 11, 2025.

The e-commerce company’s overall sales volume increased by 60 per cent Y-o-Y compared to the previous festive season.

Sales in the fashion and accessories category increased by 94 per cent Y-o-Y. Demand from non-metro markets was particularly robust as more than 80 per cent of the sales came from these non-metro cities.

Several sub-categories within the fashion and lifestyle segments posted triple-digit growth. The men’s apparel category grew by 190 per cent while women’s ethnic wear sales increased by 110 per cent. Growth in the handbags, clutches, kidswear, women's accessories, and toys and games exceeded 100 per cent while seasonal apparel like shirts, co-ord sets, and sweaters grew by nearly 5X.

This high growth was largely attributed to Snapdeal's focus on value-driven e-commerce and its expanded seller base. The sale reinforced Snapdeal's positioning as a platform for value-conscious shoppers, with over 80 per cent of its orders typically priced below Rs 599.

Increased order volumes were seen by seller clusters in key manufacturing hubs like Surat, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Panipat, Agra, and Moradabad, underscoring the platform's role in helping Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) scale during the festive season.

According to Achint Setia, CEO, this success was fueled by value-driven fashion and the festive spirit of ‘Bharat; (small-town India). The lifestyle segment (including fashion, home décor, and kitchen goods) now accounts for nearly 90 per cent of Snapdeal's total business.
