A new multi-brand performance footwear retailer from Brandman Retail, Sneakerz plans to open 50 stores by 2029 with a focus on major metro areas, Tier II cities, airports and high street areas. The retailer has already secured more than 10 additional locations in Adani Airports and on high streets in locations like Noida, Mumbai Delhi.

The brand launched its first store in Guwahati, India. The store features a variety of popular international footwear brands, including New Balance, On, Saucony, Puma, Adidas, and Asics. It incorporates regional elements like bamboo, while the retailer’s upcoming stores in Mumbai and Delhi will be inspired by their urban settings.

According to Kashika Malhotra, Founder, through this stores development, the brand aims to highlight the growing significance of sneakers in Indian culture - both as athletic gear and a fashion statement. Sneakers are a form of self-expression through movement, fashion, and culture, and the company aims to create a retail platform that blends a global perspective with a local, Indian feel, states Malhotra.

Valued at around $1.36 billion, the sneaker market in India is growing by more than 15 per cent each year. Sneakrz plans to open 50 stores by 2029, with a focus on major metro areas, Tier-2 cities, airports, and high streets. The company has a more immediate goal of opening 10 stores by 2026.

Founded in 2021, Brandman Retail is the parent company of Sneakrz and also manages partnerships with global footwear brands such as New Balance, Saucony, Rockport, and On.
