Integrating domestic supply chains for global reach

Rather than relying solely on imported goods, the joint venture is anchoring its profitability on localized procurement. By procuring staples, textiles, and private-label essentials directly from domestic producers, the partnership lowers shelf prices for value-conscious Indian buyers while establishing an export pipeline to Carrefour’s 15,000 international outlets. Industry analysts note,   leveraging 'Make in India' manufacturing allows franchisers to maintain competitive margins amid rising operational overheads in urban nodes. Executives plan to scale this hybrid sourcing framework to support a planned network rollout across North India over the coming years.
