Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail's Planet Fashion is unveiling a new retail identity at its store in Dibrugarh, Assam. With over 175 stores across India, Planet Fashion offers the latest international fashion selections at affordable prices.

The new brand identity is complemented by product and packaging innovation aimed at attracting new-age consumers and improving their customer experience.

The flagship store in Dibrugarh, Assam offers an immersive shopping experience and showcases an extensive product portfolio across different levels. The ground floor features casuals, denim, and seasonal clothing, while the first floor offers formal shirts, trousers, and a wedding lounge with suits, blazers, and accessories.

The new retail identity features a modern and sophisticated look, with a new logo in white, grey, and copper colors. Fixtures are designed to display a wide range of lifestyle looks, and abstract mannequins are used to illustrate brand stories and images.

Planet Fashion currently has 175+ stores across 155 cities in India, offering premium brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Simon Carter, and Octave under one roof. ZODIAC : Summer 2023 collection

ZODIAC's latest collection, the Positano Linen Collection, draws inspiration from the beautiful colors of summer seen on the Amalfi Coast on the Italian Riviera. Linen, which is woven from the Flax plant, is recognized as the world's strongest natural fiber and is an ideal fabric for summer garments due to its breathable weave.

ABFRL & 1M1B: India’s 1st Green Jobs & Sustainability Accelerator

10 April 2023, Mumbai 

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) and 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) have launched India's first Green Jobs and Sustainability Accelerator program for Climate Change action. The partnership aims to mobilize and equip 1 million youth with the skills and mindset needed to contribute to the fight against climate change.

The program, piloted in January 2023 with participation from over 545 CBSE schools, will be scaled up and operational in over 25,000 schools and colleges from April 20, 2023.

"The youth of today are the driving force behind the green future of work and workplaces," declared Dr. Naresh Tyagi, CSO of ABFRL, and Co-Chair of the Green Jobs & Sustainability Accelerator.

"India, with its vast talent pool, has the incredible potential to channel its youth towards green jobs through initiatives like the Green Jobs & Sustainability Accelerator," emphasized Erik Solheim, Advisor to 1M1B & former ED of UN Environment & Under Secretary General of the United Nations.

The Sustainability Accelerator program will introduce students to the role of technology in shaping a greener planet and provide them with workplace experiences and internships at ABFRL to learn about sustainable practices.

The curriculum, designed by 1M1B, will focus on Climate Change Action and equip students with valuable perspectives and skills that can be applied in the workplace to positively impact the environment.

As part of the initiative, ABFRL will offer internships and workplace experiences to 20 students, and the top student team will have the opportunity to present their work at the annual 1M1B Youth Summit at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The program aims to create a sustainability mindset among the youth and promote social responsibility, reflecting ABFRL and 1M1B's commitment to advancing sustainability and climate change action.

Lee® opens flagship store in Bengaluru

Ace Turtle, a technology-native retail company, announced the opening of Lee®’s flagship store in Bengaluru, India. With a retail space of 4,200 sq. ft, the store is the largest for the iconic denim brand in India and one of Lee®’s global flagship stores.

Ace Turtle CEO, Nitin Chhabra, expressed delight in launching the store, citing the company's extensive omnichannel technology expertise and unique operating model as significant contributors to scaling Lee®’s business in India. Lee®’s VP and Managing Director, John Gearing, expressed excitement over the partnership with Ace Turtle to position Lee® as the preferred denim brand among young Indian consumers.

Ace Turtle entered into an agreement with Kontoor Brands in 2021 to become Lee®’s long-term licensee for India and other South Asian markets. The Indian domestic denim market is expected to reach Rs 91,894 crore by 2028.
