The Pant Project has completed a Rs 109-crore Series B funding round, signaling an aggressive brick-and-mortar store expansion strategy across India's menswear sector. Led by Mirae Asset Venture Investments, alongside participation from Sorin Investments, Hyperscale Ventures, and Alteria Capital, the fresh equity infusion will support the brand's offline store scale-up from 25 exclusive brand outlets to over 150 stores across Tier-I & II cities. The rapid scaling reflects high consumer adoption of touch-and-feel retail formats for tailored bottoms and specialized apparel.
Category diversification and omnichannel technology integration
Capital allocation will also target product catalog expansion beyond core bottomwear into casual upperwear, knits, and athleisure, backed by enhanced tech integration for custom fitting. By leveraging integrated supply chain inventory and data-driven footfall analytics, the brand aims to strengthen store economics across high streets and tier-one shopping malls.
Physical retail agility
Combining custom-fit tailoring capabilities with widespread physical storefronts enables direct-to-consumer apparel brands to lower acquisition overheads while deepening market penetration, noted a retail apparel equity consultant.
